Can I grow spaghetti squash as a climber instead of as a trailing plant?

that is a heavy squash, and big. I'd be surprised it would work.
I have not grown squash in a few years, but did for about 8 years straight. for the last 5 years I grew Spag squash vertically.
It 100% works with enough support I ended up using watermelon hanging support deals.
