Hi, i have some hot peppers growing and just noticed some of the leaves on one of the plants have holes and dark spots on them. Can anyone tell me what is causing this and how i can remedy the situation?

Thank you in advance.

The damage looks to me like a chewing insect. Suggest you look under the leaves for tiny caterpillars or beetles. Inspect the soil surface at night with a flashlight — earwigs and beetles often appear then.

Spray with neem oil or insecticidal soap every 5–7 days. If you suspect caterpillars, a biological control like BT (Bacillus thuringiensis) works extremely well.

Normally I would say yes but just from the picture I would hesitate to do that because the damage does not look severe enough to me to justify that.

If the spray stops the damage which it should, that leaf in particular will recover but if more damage is done it will need to be removed.

Are they indoors or outdoors, if indoors put them outside if possible Which I did with the same problem. I then took my small (clean) paintbrush and wiped all the leaves clean. No problems so far.
