After having plants sulking for months, they've finally got away :)

I sprinkled the rest of the seed round them as I planted them out, they've come on well too.

Just got to work out what to do with it now:D

Good work Zigs! I'm glad they've fought back :D. I've had my fingers crossed that they'd pick up :).

Ta Ian :D

I got enthused by a few articles in the gardening mags, one about Carribean Allotment holders growing it and another that said to pick the young plant as mini veg.

Definitely a warm weather/ long daylight plant though, won't sow so early next time.

I believe it'll have flowers like Love-Lies-Oozing, that'll be nice :)

Looking good! You need to find yourself some saltfish - we have it in our local supermarket, but I don't know whether you'll find it in deepest darkest Somerset! It is basically white fish preserved in salt that you rehydrate before cooking. Saltfish is also delicious with ackee, which is a soft yellow fruit that grows in the Caribbean and looks quite a lot like scrambled egg. In the UK you can only buy it tinned I think, but it still tastes good.

This recipe looks yummy :) http://www.jamaicatravelandculture.com/food_and_drink/callaloo_and_codfish.htm

They look beautiful, I didn't have the same luck with Calallo, so I have to try again next year, I am so curious to know what they taste like. I do have some amaranth "Love Lies Bleeding" same family or species. Great work Zigs.

Ta :)

Just went out and tried some, just tastes of chlorophyll really, thought it would be spicier. Mind you I have just been sucking on a sugar lollypop :D
