Cabbage pods?

So i had a few cabbages that were left from last year and they went to seed. Oddly enough, the seed pods look quite like baby green beans.

Are they edible?

Yes, and very tender too.

Interesting. I found many places that state the flowering plant leaves are edible and the pods can be saved for seeds but no mention of consumability.

How mature should i let them get before harvesting? Right now most are about 1/8 inch by 2.5 ir so.

It appears i have a couple turnips that are in similar condition, edible as well?
