This is the first time I've ever tried to grow brussel sprouts and I have some questions about them. Most of the plants are doing fine, but one of them appears to be going to seed. Is this a problem? Should I pinch back the flowers or just let it be? Only one plant is flowering so far, and it was a plant that got very heavily hit by flea beetles this spring, but I would love some advice on what I should be doing to insure I get a good crop from these plants. Thanks!

May I ask which variety of sprouts you are trying to grow?

I had to look it up, but it was a variety called 'Igor Hybrid' - purchased from the Territorial Seed company.

I've had some challenges with this plant - with all the rain we've had this year, and the flea beetles who munched on them - they didn't get off to a great start, but I want to do what I can to salvage a crop from these plants. I hope someone can help.

I have never tried to grow brussel sprout as no one in my family likes to eat them, but the flowering sounds interesting. Do you have a picture of the flower? I would love to see.
