I wasn't aware until seeing your post...but will follow now.

Do you know the general location of the nest?

Make this thread a sticky so it will be easy to find.

I believe it is somewhere in North California, the name "Big Bear" tells you the location. Also if you go on Facebook, and put in Big Bear you can join and follow that way also.

I've been watching the eagles this year (and many times over recent years). Hopefully they will have better luck this year than they did last year.

The nest is along Big Bear Lake, which is east of Los Angeles in southern California.
The exact nest location is within this green circle.

Just up the hill from San Bernardino. The lake is stocked with Kokanee salmon, trout, catfish, carp and bass, so lots of food. Then there’s ducks for a change of pace.
sometimes on the video of them I can hear car motors must have some roadway close enough.

The tree is on a wide peninsula and a road runs behind it. The tree is way out toward the tip. There are fences and signs and BIG fines (and felony jail time) for disturbing the eagles.

@cpp gardener from your description of fences etc, gathering there are more than one nest?

there is a spot about 30 min drive from me, also gated off. Along the gate are you will find many photographers with those long lenses sitting waiting. Seems like it is a meet up area also. they bring picnic etc. seem to know each other. All with intent of focusing on an area island. I did go there one day, saw nothing.
