Hi,

I planted my bare root roses about 2 months back. I noticed that the cane is turning black. The leaves are all purple in color. I am not sure what to make out of it. Does it mean that the plant is infected with fungus ?

Welcome David2. :) Roses are best grown in bare soil to cut down the risk of disease. May I suggest you clear the bark and any other debris that is laying around the base of the rose.
