Banana plant

In another thread, I had commented that the banana is the easiest fruit to grow, that is if it can be considered fruit. Our banana plant that is imported from Thailand is a prolific one with more than 10 clusters at least when it fruits after a year of planting. Right now one banana plant in the backyard has a blossom already so expect the harvest in 4 months, that's around Christmas time. Here is the shot of the blossom that I took yesterday.

I have three species of banana in my garden, however, I don't know the English names for these bananas. In my experience, it is very easy to grow a banana. Once you plant a banana plant. over the years it grows into many banana plants because small banana plants sprouts from the root of big banana plants.
