Red potatoes, green beans, yellow squash, zucchini, purple hull peas (that need re-planting), tomatoes...
Tomatoes with okra coming up volunteer… the greenhouse in the distance and the zinnia patch behind the mesquite tree...
The zinnia patch. My wife wanted zinnias and she planted them in the veggie garden. They were taking it over, so I made a dedicated patch for the flowers. Everyone is happy with that….
tomatoes
Some of this morning’s pickins...
Potatoes and green beans… She’s got a pot of them going right now...
Squash, zucchini and cucumbers. Squash and onions, cucumbers in vinegar and zucchini bread from that big one for tonight...
My carrot picking helper… Yes, she picks and eats them… She is only allowed supervised visits in the carrot patch...
onions from sets.. I’m going to start from seeds next year.
Onions. I’ve only grown onions (successfully) one other year. This year my son gave me two bundles of sets that he didn’t have time to plant. I just tilled and stuck them in the ground randomly… the straight row on the right are dividing onions...
As y’all can see, I don’t prioritize “weeding”… but, if weeding produced one more of anything, I don’t know where I’d put it.
