this an “old school” camellia I purchased three years ago. There are several areas with leaves doing this. Any suggestions?

Welcome @tonyb1224

Suggest you use the search function upper right. You will find several recent posts on camellia yellowing leaves as it seems to be a common problem.

Keep the soil cultivated and loosen under the plant around the base. Remove all the leaves that have fallen and bag them up and throw in the trash. Dig deep enough close to the plant to feel the soil and get to know the difference between needing water and not. Camellia are acid loving plants and if you put alkaline water on it for a long time it can raise the pH causing iron lock out on the top of the plant. Take a photo of the whole plant if it gets worse.
