Hi folks. I'm not sure what's doing this, so I thought I'd post here in D&P.

My spinach is yellow. I have two planters, and one is yellow for some reason. I have some pH strips but I haven't tested anything. I am using some Miracle Grow, but that doesn't seem to change anything. I've watered it, thinking it was dehydrated, but that isn't it either.

Any ideas what I should try? Any insight appreciated.

Cheers

You over-fertilized. New potting mixes will most likely have a nutrient charge that lasts a few months. When you add fertilizer to the potting mix you raised the amount of salts way up. Water always follows salt in chemistry and when the salts are higher in the soil than the plant the soil will suck the water out of the plant causing leaf burn.

The leaves always had turgidity. And with following rains, it hasn't bounced back. Is it possible the planter is too short? How deep do the roots go for spinach?
