Why is my Fiddle Leaf Fig looking so sad?

Hello everyone,

About three weeks ago I bought this Fiddle Leaf Fig. Last thursday new leaves came out, but they looked floppy and sad. I know the brown spots are a sign of over/under watering, but I'm always touching the earth to make sure is completely dry before putting more water. One large root was coming out thru the bottom of the pot, but the guy at the shop cut it off. Can someone please help me? Maybe I should repot it to a bigger vase? It makes me sad seeing her like that.

Pot is definitely too small,if a root is comimg out of the bottom, sure sign it needs moving on.

Thanks! I bought a bigger pot today and will repot it tomorrow. Any tips? Thanks again.
