I was going to plant some buckwheat on the ground that I didn't get to plant this year but it stayed so wet because of the constant rains I just left it in last fall's cover crop.
The reason I wanted to try it is that I hear it's a very good bee attractor.

It certainly eliminated the rest of the weeds. Very interesting thanks.

In my case, I viewed controlling weeds as a short coming of using buckwheat. My first warm weather experience with it and just not impressed with weed control as compared to other covers.

The buckwheat pictured by @Hatfield County above doesn't look the same as mine. Perhaps a different variety?

Since it isn't a legume and others give better weed control, I probably won't use it again here.
