At the first sound of thunder these flowers emerge from the ground. There will be no leaves but just buds on the first day followed by flowers. I have them in my garden.
Now you know why they are called thunder ball :)
Is there anyone here who can help identify these flowers? Thanks

Amazing looking plant/flowers, had no idea there were plants/flowers that could actually do that. Pretty amazing to read they react to thunder, just wow! The natural world never ceases to amaze, for reals!

I love flowers that do cool things like this. I will have to look these up on the internet and show them to my daughter and see if wants to try to plant some.

Wonder if it's anything to do with Lightning fixing nitrogen from the atmosphere, which then comes down in the rain?

Nature does not open up sometimes. It never tells us what it is up to (lol)
