I managed to plant some watermelon seedlings in coco peat. One seedling died after three days of germination. It completely bent and then died. Now, 2nd seedling is also completely bent and about to die. It just can't stand. I am growing them outside under a shade and watering them daily with sprayer. Can you please help what could be the issue? Temperature here now is 40 degree Celsius. Could it be due to heat? Pls check attached picture.

Coconut coir has very little if any macro-nutrients (NPK) although at this young age of the plant this will make little difference. What your plant needs is more sunlight. It is a pale green color and very leggy, even for a vine. Start off giving it 1 hour more sunlight per day for 2 or 3 days then give it 2 hours more sunlight per day until the plant is used to full sun all day. Melons like heat
