Is there a way to have a semi-decent vegetable garden in a fairly small area? I know each vegetable needs to have a certain amount of space in order to actually grow, but what kinds could thrive in a small area? When I say small I really mean small, I think we have about a 5'x15' area to grow vegetables in. I realize I'm not going to be able to do a TON with this space, probably only a couple plants, but is there anything that would work? Thanks in advance!

A vertical garden maybe something you could do in a small area. A vertical garden going up a wall or fence for smaller plants leaving the ground for the larger plants can help you have a good size garden.

As Pat mentioned go vertical on a part of it, say for melons and cucumbers. Check out Square Foot Gardening also. You will be surprised at all you can grow in 75 sq. ft.
