Basically I'm growing with my Son I mentioned Super Soil but also told him about others having it burn their plants.

He said we don't want to take the chance and continue to buy.

At least I'm not like a friend of mine. Buys Soil every year. Yes he is a professional.

He buys about $4,000 worth of Soil each year and dumps it after he is done.

If you are going to be a professional grower and sell this stuff out of your greenhouse, you will probably want to do what the professionals do or you are not going to be in business long.

Well I'm reusing some soil and working on Compost Bins.

Thing with Happy Frog yes the roots like it every time I repot the plant is Root bound so I don't save much it goes later to Compost.

Taking care of some of my Sons Pottedv plants and they are growing grass. So yes he used regular Garden Soil.

Different plants have different needs. Plant hunters brought plants back for gardeners from all over the world and their natural habitat can be as different as forest or prairie; sand dunes or peat bogs, especially with specialist things normally grown in pots.
A short burst in the microwave will kill off any grass or weed seeds in your son's soil, for larger quantities heating it with the steam from a wallpaper remover works well.

Lately I'm into Black Plastic down getting HOT before planting.

Been thinking of something between rows in my Vegetable Garden.

Went from Straw to Cardboard to Carpet. Thinking of going back to Cardboard.
