This is the only stamp collection I've had.
back in the sixties, when I managed an electrical appliance and TV store, I bought stamps for all the employees every week, like these.

I have my father's stamp collection. My mother was a linguist and a letter writer who posted an average of about six letters a day all over the world. My father's collection consists of stamps sent to the house he lived in. They start with those he collected as a boy, he had an uncle who was a cartographer and travelled a lot. As my mother's friends realised his interest they would go out of the way to buy commemorative and special issue stamps. A couple of special items are a letter from a free French friend who was a POW, sent via the Swiss red cross. Another is an envelope that is singed along one edge and an envelope it was enclosed in by the post office explaining it was in an airplane crash. There are seven albums and a lot of loose stamps.
