Had couple plants

my Son said they were ugly, didn't know what they were and didn't care for them.

I took them under my wing look pretty to me.

I can see why he said it, I think he is wrong, should appreciate life more, but I can see why.

You should pay much less attention to what your son has to say. You're the Dad, he's the kid. It's a christmas cactus and when the blooms open they are impressive.

I've always thought it was a Christmas Cactus but found it is a Thanksgiving Cactus.

Didn't know there was such a thing.

They've fiddled with the bloom times so they can sell them in bloom more times during the year. I still call it Christmas cactus too.

They actually look different. They are saying the ones with rounded leaves are Christmas Cactus.

And also found they are not able true Cactus and need watered more often.

They're succulents. They store water in their leaves, so, yes, they aren't cactus but you do want them to dry out between waterings.

From what I have read they come from Rain Forest and need water.

They must be happy got a New Baby.

Ok you are right I I was looking at care for Easter Cactus and they said water it as a Succulent but said they come from the Rain Forest.

But I was told the Appalachian Mountains were Rain Forest.

Thinking of getting all three.

Found out today my son has trouble focusing and if you interrupt him while he is doing something he gets mad.

Like I told my wife I'm surrounded by people their mind is not right.

He had a $3,000 Dog he didn't like so now I have him. He is very sweet, kennel Dog and has certain habits he learned to survive.
