  • Spring: Ideal time for planting most vegetables, flowers, and herbs.
  • Summer: Focus on watering and pest control, as well as harvesting warm-season crops.
  • Fall: Plant cool-season vegetables like carrots, lettuce, and spinach, and start preparing beds for winter.
  • Winter: Protect plants with mulching, move delicate plants indoors, or cover them to protect against frost.

Thank you for the great advice on seasonal gardening! I’ll definitely be focusing on hardy perennials and making sure to mulch well. I’m also curious—what are your thoughts on adding flowers that attract pollinators during the fall months? I recently came across flying flowers, and they have some beautiful seasonal arrangements that might be perfect for brightening up the garden.

@tyronee , for attracting pollinators in fall sedum, asters, and just about any plant that blooms from summer until frost are good for bees and moths.
