Sloe berries or not??

Hi folks,

Looking to make some slow gin and just want to double check these are sloe berries and not something similar but harmful!

Hi Penny,
Yes of course! these are Blackthorn berries (sloes).
It is so easy to make, the hard part is keeping yourself from opening it too soon to drink it.

Sloe or Blackthorn (Prunus spinosa), a wickedly thorny shrub in the Rose Family (Rosaceae), native throughout Europe and into southwestern Asia and northwestern Africa. Its fruit flavours a number of liqueurs, including Epinette, Pacharan, and Sloe Gin.
