Should I transplant sunchokes now (in the fall) or wait until the spring?

I have a raised bed full of established sunchokes. I want to take out the sunchokes and plant them in a field I have prepared for them. Would it be better for me to transplant now or wait until the spring?

General location?

Either way has its plus and minus factors unless you are where the ground freezes hard in winter and there I would wait until spring.

If in the fall, wait until the tops have been frosted back to transplant.

Hopefully you are aware they are highly invasive.
