I got this Sago Palm 6 months ago, and it was doing fine until recently when it developed this discoloration - pale green/yellow with black spots with some bending in the leaves.

The only changes that I can think of are that I repotted it a few weeks ago - moving it from the plastic pot it came in, to an unglazed clay pot with cacti/palm potting mix. I water it every two weeks as instructed on the tag, however it recently went three weeks without water one time.

I've read about manganese or magnesium deficiencies being possible causes. I'd really appreciate any insight into what's going on so I can take appropriate action.

I don't know what the black dots look like but they could be a fungal disease, try spraying it with some pesticide or soapy water mixture. Can you try giving it more sun?

Around here sagos ate pretty common. I find them to be fairly hardy but they do like lots of sun. They will survive shade, but ones in the shade frequently get a bit of yellow to them. I'm not sure what the real reason is, but it seems to be a common theme.
