We are considering the purchase of a ride on mower.

What are the specs we should look at? They are expensive so I want something that will be worth my while.

Do they have a weight limit for a driver?

I purchased a Husqvarna zero turn. It's fantastic, I am sure it has a weight limit but I can't see it anywhere obviously stated I would guess 120Kg would be expected?

The transmission is the key, and most of the homeowner units have the same transmission torque range, if not the actual same transmission. For example the Tuff Torq K46 tranny is on many machines including my John Deere L130. It has around 150 foot pounds of torque. The K66 tranny is the garden tractor version with 300 or more foot pounds for dirt works. Look for a machine that has a way to service the transmission. When you hear how proud they are that the transmission does not require nor have the ability to change the transmission fluid, please run away.
