Sweet thanks, yeah my wife is always banging on about organic. I have heard black Kow is great stuff is this true? Also what are you guys thoughts on the rubber mulches? I LOVE the look of them but not sure if they are good!
Black Kow is great stuff, especially their compost.
Mulch does 4 things. It keeps moisture in the soil, it helps keep weeds down, it keeps the soil cooler and over time it breaks down into compost...Rubber mulch is for looks only and you will, over time, be be trying to dig it out of the soil. Stay away from it. It doesn't help the soil or your plants at all.

Black Kow is great! We used it when we lived in town, but now we have black cows in the next pasture providing us with manure:giggle:.
My personal opinion on rubber mulch is that doesn't add anything to the soil, it never looks "natural", and it may leach unwanted chemicals into your soil.

OK so I'm gonna try and get a Lot of work done on the garden today. I just have a couple of questions.... Are there any special kinds of soil you guys would recommend? I'm gonna use the black know fertilizer but I wanna excavate then read lay new soil before doing so.

So I thought I would post up some pictures of my garden work in progress. So many roots everywhere I'm trying to remove them but its proving rough. Also some of the thicker roots appear to disappear into the concrete which is nice. I found yet another tree stump and removed it.

Does anyone happen to know what type of bush that was next to the trees that I removed the stump from in the previous photo I included , it's root network seems to have been huge.

Hope you enjoy the pictures of my new houses yard, it needs a lot of work but has tons of potential IMO.

Thanks as always ,
