Hello everyone,
I have a problem with my citrus tree (limonella or limequat, to be exact) and a potted carob tree.
The citrus tree has sent several new shoots recently, but most of them have stopped growing after producing just one leaf (strictly speaking, only one shoot has developed normally). I used to have a problem with thrips and scales attacking this plant, but I believe I got rid of them. What may be the cause of such a stunted growth?
These are the shoots which have stopped growing:
And this is the only shoot which has developed correctly:
And the problem with the carob tree is similar; it is sending smaller and smaller leaves. Additionally, it used to produce leaves comprised of four leaflets, meanwhile now it produces leaves comprised of two leaflets.
On the picture you can see that the youngest leaf seems to be "burnt".
Do you have any ideas how to fix these problems? I'd appreciate any advice.
-Dominik
