Planting a climbing rose

Is early June ok for planting a climbing rose against a south facing wall?

Yes perfect time and remember don't plant it too deep, to keep the plant from getting a fungus.

Here in Britain it's preferable to plant roses during their dormant season - late Autumn/Winter. If it is a potted plant and not bare root then it should be okay now. Mix some granular fertiliser with the soil before back filling the hole and keep it watered until later in the year.

will climbing roses do ok on a brick wall or will the heat from the sun be too much. I live in North Carolina and the wall gets direct sun about 60% of the day
