Hi there I have just joined and your post was first upYour fist plant is a lily and 2nd looks like photinia from pic.- 'red robin' is the one I know due to red new leaves ( shrub.)
Depending on where you're located lilies are left in ground till top growth goes brown. You can then lift and separate bulbs to dry off before replanting in the Spring. Hope this helps.
