Our pear tree finally bloomed this year for the first time. Now it seems to be dying and there are spots on the leaves. Any idea what this could be and what to do about it?? pear1.JPG Pear2.JPG

Are you trying for edible pear or is that a decorative pear? It appears a fungus and there are systemic fungicides available. Thyme oil spray is a contact killer for edibles. It reminds me of fireblight and there are fire blight sprays. You will want to prune away the infection with disinfected tools and remove the debris and the spores from the property or burn them.
