Hello! I’ve had my peace lily for a few years now but have recently started losing a lot of leaves to brown spots that start on the edges of the leaves and work their way in with a thin yellow ring along the outer edge of the brown. There is even a new leaf that is beginning to brown. It sits in a fairly shady area that gets light but never anything direct, and I have been watering her regularly when I feel the soil has dried out, never letting her get to the point of drooping.

How can I help it? All the research I’ve done tells me it could be a multitude of things. I’ll appreciate any and all advice!

It is holding on to too much water between routine waterings. The roots are not getting enough oxygen and staying wet too long. It may be the container doesn't drain enough to allow the soil to dry out. Or maybe you recently repotted your plant into the container its in now and increased the soil. Stick your finger down the side of the container and let the top two inches dry before watering.

Thank you so much for your help! I've put it in a different pot for better drainage and I'll keep a closer eye on the dirt!
