Hi Group-
Portage Lakes Ohio / Zone 6 / small backyard garden.
Received strawberries and asparagus in the mail... gardens not ready. Still need to turn it over and begin my spring 'prep'.
Can I just make sure my strawberries and asparagus is kept cool / moist and store in the fridge? They came in sealed plastic bags.
Thanks, TiminOhio

Don't know about asparagus, but your strawberries should keep for a week.
Best extract the digit!
Welcome!

Tim, we purchased asparagus crowns in December to be planted in February (only one nursery had the variety we wanted, so we had no choice but to buy and wait). We kept them in a cool (50 degree) pantry in the dark and they did just fine. I don't know about a refrigerator--perhaps too humid?

Welcome to the forum, if you have a cool basement you can keep your strawberries there. or just pot them up and when your ready plant them in your garden.
