I am a very new gardener with a 4x8 square foot type veggie garden. Does anyone know if this little specimen is a weed or a veggie? It seems to be popping up in a couple of places....help!!

Yes, a weed (unless you want to take care of it lol.) l have those all over; they don't appear to do anything pretty or interesting so l pull them out of beds and mow them over in the lawn.

Yep, that's Fat Hen. You can cook the leaves and eat them :)

Yup, certainly a weed so you can go ahead and get rid of that if you haven't already. I don't have it in my garden but I do in my rhubarb patch and they're super annoying. It's like for every one I get rid of three more take it's place. I'm forever pulling them out but I don't mind so much and it keeps me busy at least. I also have carrots @Grayman but they're not ready for harvesting yet. They're well on their way though as well as my peas. Gosh those are growing like weeds. I planted some in my greenhouse and some in a patio railing planter and both are doing splendid.
