I just came across an old handwritten note in an old cookbook titled - To Spray On Plants
Mix:
3 gallon water
3 eggs
1 Cup milk
1 Tbsp cooking oil
1 Tbsp detergent
Spray on plants - repeat in three weeks.
Does anyone know what this is supposed to do for plants or pests it is meant to control?

Just guessing here...The oil will immobilize many pests, just by weighing them down. Detergent will kill some; spraying with soapy water is to this day a fairly effective pest killer. No clue about the eggs and milk.

A milk mixture, if sprayed when the plant is in the sun will take care of some mildews. Don't know about the eggs.
