I have 2 koi over 2 feet long and 3 butterfly koi and 2 fancy tails and several goldfish .# acres is nice but a lot to take care of for one person .It gets hot here and I have tried veggie gardening and still have a few veggies yet and lots of fruit trees .I had a big veggie garden when i lived in New Jersey but not really needed here .I do have 4 pepper plants and 4 tomato plants and yellow and green squash and pickles and cucumbers .Apples and pears are just getting ripe .Peaches and cherries and plum trees and blackberries and blueberries are all done for this year .Strawberries and eggplants are done also .They have a nice pond and this sight also has a pond garden sight .I belong to that also .They started the pond sight first .I gave lots of baby fish away again this year .

WOW! It really sounds like you're making a great use of all that space, Sissy :) You have a lot amazing things planted in your property! I love fruit trees, but my dad could never get the hang of it. So I'm too hesitant to try that in the future, Do guys end up eating all that fruit? It sounds like a lot :O

I am a vegetarian and have been all my life so the fruit from the fruit trees do not last .I have all dwarf trees and have to share some with the deer and birds and other critters here also .I want more fruit trees .I buy the fruit tree fertilizer spikes and then you just spray them in the spring and that's it .When I bought this property 10 years ago it was just dirt and a telephone pole .

WOW! So your mom raised you that way? That's amazing! I wish mine had done that with me, my health would be way better than it is now, that's for sure! Glad to know you also share with those little critters as well ;)

Fertilizer spikes? I've never heard about it, but I'll try if I ever dare to grow a fruit tree. The problem with my dad's fruit trees was the fact that some of them never grew big enough or their fruit never did. I guess the fruit trees needed some pruning and fertilizer.

I must say you have done a great job with this propery :) Looking forward to seeing more pictures of your improvements!
