Hi guys, I am new in this forum. Can anyone advise why the bromeliads doesn't stay same as when it was in the shop? The plant is still ok but the flower is fading and is not as beautiful as it was when purchased.
Any advice from whoever is expert will be much appreciated.

Water your indoor bromeliad from the roots, not the cup. You would only water it from the cup if it's an outdoor plant, watering in this manner for a house plant can cause leaf rot. When the bloom dies out, remove it. Generally, Bromeliads are relatively easy to care for, just don't over or under-water. When the soil is dry, that's when you water the plant, not when the soil is damp.

Here's a short video that will give you a couple of tips..

Greetings, welcome to the Forums.

It would be good to see a photo of the plant in question. However in most cases, when the inflorescence withers on a bromeliad (Bromeliaceae) the leaf rosette it is emerging from will also begin to senesce (die back). If the plant has been allowed to grow normally there should be one or more offset rosettes (pups) growing from the base fo the rosette. With proper care, these will continue to grow and will eventually flower like the parent rosette. Examine your bromeliad rosette to see if there are such offsets.
Unfortunately, some bromeliads sold to super markets or florist shops have there pups removed by the growers before being delivered to the retailer. In this situation there may not be time or energy left for the dying rosette to produce more offsets.
