To germinate apple seeds, you need to mimic their natural winter dormancy by placing them in a moist paper towel, sealing them in a bag, and refrigerating them for a couple of weeks or a month which is called stratification; once they sprout small roots, plant them in a pot with well-draining soil and keep them in a bright location with moderate watering. Try timing the seed germination with the Spring growing season so they can get a lot of Sun.

Something to keep in mind if you didn't know, @Gardening purrple15 ..I've grown lots of apple tree's from seed to mature tree's using apples I got from the grocery stores. They seem to always take on a characteristic of one of the mixed varieties used to create the apple. So sometimes they are good, sometimes not so good but never the same as the apple I got the seeds out of.

This is why commercial apple growers use known apple trees grafted onto specialist root stocks, the chances of improving on either are very, very long. Saying that, Mr Cox did get a very nice pippin grow from a casual seed in his garden, every one of the hundreds of thousands of Cox's orange pippins originate from that one tree, you could be lucky, but it is most unlikely.
