Mites??? On tomato plant

Any idea on what these teensy guys are? They are all over the soil of one of my potted tomato plants. Are they harmful?

They look to me like springtails, probably from over watering. I don't think they themselves are harmful to the plant but if they are from over watering then that isn't good for it. Someone with more experience will be able to tell you better but that's my guess.

Hard to tell exactly because they are out of focus and not close up enough. But, they resemble both springtail and termite larvae, both of which are USUALLY harmless to plants. A spinosad soil drench will kill both of them quite effectively
