Keep Homo loquax pests away while not repelling other anthropoids?

I've laid out a mixture of 1 gallon of stale beer / 1 tbsp canola oil splashed onto popped corn to hopefully keep these pests away at least for a day or two until I can find a better solution.

Try a goodly amount of Ipecac.
