Janerick plum tree problems

Hello I’m new to the forum
I have a green plumb tree
Well that is what I call it
Janerick is what we call it
It flowers magnificently but only make a handle of fruit
I have two dogs maybe the urine makes the soil acidic
Don’t really know
Would appreciate any help

If it makes a lot of blooms and only a small amount of fruit it is a pollination problem. In other words, not enough pollinating insects. It is either this or the temperature was not correct at the time of pollination.

Most plum trees are not self pollinating. Another plum tree growing nearby is required. Some varieties of plum trees are self pollinating but normally don't have the fruit set of non-self pollinating trees and need insects for good pollination.
