Is my rhododendron dead?

Hi there! We inherited a rhododendron plant from the previous tenant of our flat. Is it dead? It has yet to bloom, and the leaves don't look very healthy. What do you guys think I should do to help it out? IMG_0287.JPG IMG_0288.JPG IMG_0285.JPG IMG_0286.JPG

Thanks for the tip Chuck. Glad to know it can still be rejuvenated, hopefully. It barely gets any direct sunlight, right now maybe a few hours in late afternoon.

Rhododendrons need a fair amount of sunlight to flower (otherwise yours looks far from dead!) I have one in the ground and it's doing fine...do they generally grow OK in containers? Container plants typically need more frequent fertilizing for sure. If you can move it to a sunnier location I'd do that.
