Is it lemongrass?

I planted them some days back, not sure if it is lemongrass (cymbopogon) or weed?

Its too small to pluck a leaf for smelling it to identify

Oh yes very possible. Take a look at the googlea images for "lemon grass seedlings". I tried to copy the photo to upload here but it didn't work. They look the same to me, including the red stem. CONGRATULATIONS!

it seem so, at last just one of them popped out.

I have to watch it, I read somewhere that cat love it.

Two more sprout popped up, but they are growing on hard soil I don't remember sowing it there still.

One in planter bag and two on soil near pathway.

Seeds are mysterious, when you sow it with care and give a lot of attention they don't germinate. When you may have dropped careless, they germinate and stand tall to amaze you.

yes, at first I thought it wouldn't grow, when it started to grow I had to protect it from my cats, they just trim it to ground.
