Is a Magnolia Tree Fast Growing

About 2 years ago I brought a Magnolia Tree and it did not make it, but a sport of it came up, I would like to know how long it will take to get 6 foot tall, it is only about 5 or 6 inches now?

It is a Jane Magnolia Tree.

Jane Magnolia is a hybrid and grown from a root stock of another type of Magnolia. If your tree died what you have coming up is from the original root stock and will not be a Jane. It could be anything. Magnolias usually grow about 1-2 feet per year.
