I have two hydrangea cuttings in a container covered with plastic for a month now. I just opened the plastic and saw that they both have new leaves now. Exciting!!!!

Should I still leave them in the plastic for another month (after give it some water) or I can remove the plastic now? I'm in zone 10 and it goes down to 65 degrees at night now.

Do they have roots? If so, press on.

65 deg, is darn near perfect for them in my experience.

I tugged on them and they seem solid.

So last night I opened up the plastic and leave them outside and this morning I saw them under stress. One looks wilted. So I put the plastic back again, after water them. It was 60 degrees last night

I think I'll leave them in the plastic for another month so their roots are stronger.
