I'm a pretty new plant momma and I do name my plants. Before I couldn't keep anything alive, but I've recently started quite the collection!

Hi, welcome to the forum. I had to look up hens and chickens, then I realised I have a shelf of them in my greenhouse, common names can vary. May I suggest that when someone asks what you would like for Christmas you ask for an amaryllis. They usually come with a pot and fibre to plant them in, make a beautiful flower, and, come back year after year with a only a little bit of attention.
