Hi everyone, we had beautiful delphiniums last year. This year they are very big and busy but with no sign of flowers. I think they may have had too much feed. But what should we do now? Cut them back a bit?
Hello Helen, and welcome to the forums. All you need to do in my opinion is make sure your plants have plenty of support, and wait for them. I think it is a bit early for them to flower yet, so just have a little patience, and watch and wait
Hello Helen and welcome
Yes, agree with Tetters....DONT cut them back now. Flower spikes will soon appear.
Here I have a few delphs in flower. Last year I had 3 flowerings from May to September on some varieties.
One cane per stem tied firmly but not too tightly and taller than the flower spike.
