Hello from Arizona

Hi everyone. I'm from Arizona and excited to be here. I'm the son of an expert gardener, but my only claim to fame in the yard is my proficiency with the weed eater. I need to become a builder not a wrecker. Time to start learning how to grow.

Welcome aboard! So is it a blessing or a curse having an expert gardener for a parent? I'm guessing they could either be great for advice, or be telling you what you should be doing all the time!

Both. My mother is also an expert at telling others what they should be doing all the time! She's great, though. I love helping her with her lawn and garden boxes and plum trees, but my yard is just lawn and pecans. Maybe when my children have grown up and gone, there will be more time for flower and vegetables.

For now, I'll let the weed-eater do the talking.
