All pine nuts are edible, but not all are worth harvesting, the best ones are as follows...

I buy pine nuts from the supermarket, but I've never thought about foraging them myself! They're often really expensive, so it sounds like a good way to do it. I guess a good alternative would be a small army of trained squirrels :LOL:

If you turn the volume up and listen carefully, you can hear the pine cones clicking open in the sun.

Never heard it before today :)

There's something really nice about that sound, it's almost like ASMR! :)
