Next month I'm changing out the plants in my garden to fall varieties. I love mums for their colorful flowers and their mounding characteristics. Unfortunately, my patio doesn't get much sunlight as it faces the north. I was thinking about supplementing artificial light through a few grow lights since the planted area is relatively small. The lights can be installed underneath the top rail of the patio fencing. I know grow lights don't put out anywhere near that of sunlight but would be more than what they would be getting without that supplemental light. Good idea? Bad idea? Never done this before so I'd appreciate some feedback.
