Green on Eggplants - What's Wrong?

Hi there,

Does anyone know what's wrong with my eggplants? They're starting to get green like in the picture, and I've never seen this before! I've asked around but none of my gardener friends have come across this either.

Not sure how to fix it for the market

Most times this is caused by leaving the fruit on the plant too long. Eat one. If it is bitter tasting this is what is happening.

Eggplant turns purple to bronze as it matures. When this is happening, they can go to the stage where they are green, olive in color. When your fruit is fully grown, it will have a spongy texture.
