Grass emergency

So I’ve seeded my lawn it’s patchy yeas planning on reseeding son but I have a square perfectly square and a meter by half meter rectangle in my lawn that’s dying off rapidly is there a reason I’m in sure I water 3 times a week not over watering

There was something laying on that area for a good long time and the soil microbes/nutrients have been depleted. Probably that pallet in the background and one of those tarps. Fertilize it or put compost on it before seeding.

I shall try that any recommendations on fertiliser and is compost food or top soil

Use a complete fertilizer with micronutrients. Compost has nutrients but in a less dilute form.
